Kate Henry, born and raised in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, is a classically trained pianist, a licensed K-12 music teacher, a music education researcher, and the author of an original piano book series for children. She was given the "Artist" status by the Tokyo Immigration in 2025. She obtained accreditation as an Individual Artist by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the national and official governing body for culture and the arts in the Philippines.
Currently, she is based in Tokyo, working as an independent music and piano teacher with Henry Music and Arts, which she co-founded with her husband. She teaches private piano lessons and organizes annual recitals for her piano students. She is also a part-time kindergarten music teacher at one of the prominent international schools in Tokyo, an IB World School in Setagaya.
The Philippine Embassy in Japan invites her to perform at diplomatic and cultural events. She founded the Philippines-Tokyo Concert Series in 2024, which aims to promote Philippine music to international audiences in Japan. She also performs at five-star hotels in Tokyo as a lounge pianist and collaborative artist, making her a versatile performer across classical, pop, and jazz music.

Richie Henry is a drummer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA, where he taught, recorded, and performed for over a decade. He led award-winning casino/wedding top 40's groups all over the southern US. He also worked closely with musicians like The Voice recording artist Sera Buras, renowned blues rock band Magnolia Bayou, and Nashville singer/songwriter Colin Lockey. He's a ten-time nominee, four-time Covey Award winner in The Coast Observer magazine's readers' choice poll for the Cover/Pop and Favorite Local Band categories with the band Red Room Arrangement. He was also a member of the southern blues band Fort Bayou Slim, who are featured as an important cultural artist on Mississippi's historical Blues Trail.
During this time, he also studied in summer music programs at Berklee College of Music in Boston, The University of North Texas, and Musician's Institute in Hollywood.
Since relocating to Japan, he placed second at the 2018 Yamaha Electone Festival in Kaitaichi, Hiroshima. He now resides and performs in Tokyo in bars, theaters, and hotels with various artists.
In 2025, he became a Los Cabos drumstick artist in Japan and co-founded Henry Music & Arts, a private music, language, and arts lesson studio, with his wife and celebrated pianist, Kate Henry.
Richie began teaching English as a second language in 2016 after graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor's in English and completing an Oxford Seminars TESOL certification course at Loyola University. After two years of working with children online in China, he moved to Hiroshima City to teach at a language center and kindergarten, where he also worked closely with local government officials who assisted foreign ambassadors visiting the city's Memorial Day events at Hiroshima's historic Peace Park.
In 2021, he worked as a junior and senior high school English teacher at Seirei Christopher Christopher High School and as a cultural English class instructor at Seirei Christopher University in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, until moving to Tokyo to work as a CLIL English teacher at J PREP.
In 2024, he was asked by the Tokyo Board of Education to create a course to train Japanese teachers of English through an overseas TESOL program in Singapore and Australia. Following the completion of the project, he has since been teaching returnee children in test preparation and school entrance classes at Effect International School, along with private and small group classes with Henry Music & Arts.
