Valentine's Piano Recital 2026
Ideareve Ikegami Hall – Henry Music & Arts piano students performed in the 2026 Valentine’s Piano Recital, themed “Keys From The Heart,” held on Saturday, February 14.

The Valentine's Piano Recital 2026 brought together 11 dedicated piano students for an inspiring morning of music, celebration, and love. Each performer shared carefully prepared pieces, showcasing developing technique, musical expression, and confidence on stage.
Building a Strong Community Through Music
This Valentine's recital was designed not only as a performance opportunity but as a way of building a strong, connected community through music. Students encouraged one another, celebrated each performance, and learned the value of sharing their art with others. The event fostered confidence, discipline, and creativity in a safe and encouraging environment. By bringing students and families together, the recital strengthened long-term relationships and created lasting memories. Future recitals will continue to nurture this growing community and inspire a lifelong love of music and piano.

Reflections as a Piano Teacher

Beyond the love that filled the hall, this recital stirred so many emotions.
There was joy, nervousness, pleasant surprise, pride, and of course, a sense of disbelief. This was already the 5th piano recital, and it is still hard to grasp how this piano community has stayed together, grown, and formed such strong bonds.
The students have grown not only in height and maturity, but also emotionally. They chose pieces that are meaningful to them and, even at a very young age, they can explain and express what their music means, both in words and through their playing.
The parents have always been supportive, and what is truly inspiring is the encouragement they offer to other performers, even when they are not their own children. Families supporting other families is such a moving sight. This spirit of unity teaches children empathy, teamwork, and respect, while building lasting connections that enrich the entire performing experience.
Celebrating a remarkable journey with a young and gifted group of pianists, this recital highlights dedication, passion, and the joy of making music together. Each performance reflects hours of practice, growing confidence, and a deep love for the piano. I think this is also another kind of love that I want my students to understand and experience through music: their love for the instrument, the process, their parents, and, of course, themselves. Through consistent practice, meaningful performances, and reflective moments, music becomes a safe space where students can experience gratitude, resilience, and self-worth. In this way, learning an instrument becomes not only an artistic pursuit but also a powerful path to understanding and experiencing love in many forms.
Thank you once again for your utmost support, parents and students, and I look forward to more stages to conquer! Spread that love around.
